1. Agreement to Terms

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) constitute a legally binding agreement between you and YouTube Transcript Pro (“Company,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) concerning your access to and use of the YouTube Transcript Pro website (youtubetranscript.pro), browser extension, and mobile applications available via the Apple App Store and Google Play Store (collectively, the “Service”).

By accessing or using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you disagree with any part of these Terms, you must discontinue use of the Service immediately.

2. Description of Service & Mobile Access

YouTube Transcript Pro provides tools to view, search, and download publicly accessible captions and metadata from YouTube videos, playlists, and channels.

Free Mobile Experience: In our mobile applications (iOS and Android), no account creation or registration is required. All features are available freely and without credit restrictions.

Account creation is strictly an optional convenience on the web version for users who wish to synchronize history across devices.

3. Apple App Store Additional Terms (Apple EULA)

The following terms apply to users accessing the Application via the Apple App Store, pursuant to Apple's Minimum Terms of End User License Agreement:

  • Acknowledgement: This Agreement is concluded solely between you and YouTube Transcript Pro, and not with Apple Inc. (“Apple”). YouTube Transcript Pro is solely responsible for the Application and the content thereof.
  • Scope of License: The license granted to you is a non-transferable license to use the Application on any Apple-branded products that you own or control as permitted by the Usage Rules set forth in the Apple Media Services Terms and Conditions.
  • Maintenance and Support: YouTube Transcript Pro is solely responsible for providing maintenance and support services for the Application. You acknowledge that Apple has no obligation whatsoever to furnish any maintenance or support services with respect to the Application.
  • Warranty: YouTube Transcript Pro is solely responsible for any product warranties. In the event of any failure of the Application to conform to any applicable warranty, you may notify Apple, and Apple will refund the purchase price for the Application (if applicable) to you; to the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Apple will have no other warranty obligation whatsoever with respect to the Application.
  • Product Claims: YouTube Transcript Pro, not Apple, is responsible for addressing any claims relating to the Application, including product liability claims, regulatory non-compliance claims, or consumer protection claims.
  • Intellectual Property Rights: In the event of any third-party claim that the Application or your use of the Application infringes a third party's intellectual property rights, YouTube Transcript Pro, not Apple, will be solely responsible for the investigation, defense, settlement, and discharge of such claim.
  • Legal Export Compliance: You represent and warrant that (i) you are not located in a country subject to a U.S. Government embargo or designated as a “terrorist supporting” country; and (ii) you are not listed on any U.S. Government list of prohibited or restricted parties.
  • Third-Party Beneficiary: You acknowledge and agree that Apple, and Apple's subsidiaries, are third-party beneficiaries of this Agreement, and that Apple will have the right to enforce this Agreement against you as a third-party beneficiary.

4. Google Play Store Terms

For applications downloaded via Google Play, these Terms incorporate the Google Play Terms of Service. Google LLC is not responsible for the performance, maintenance, or support of the Application.

5. Public Video Content & Fair Use

YouTube Transcript Pro processes publicly accessible captions and subtitles from publicly available YouTube videos. YouTube is a trademark of Google LLC. Our Service is independent and not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by YouTube or Google LLC.

All intellectual property, copyright, and ownership rights of YouTube videos and original audio/video content remain with the respective creators and copyright owners.

You are responsible for ensuring that your use of extracted transcripts complies with applicable copyright laws, fair use principles, and educational or personal research exemptions. You agree not to distribute or commercialize copyrighted transcripts in bulk without authorization from the rights holder.

6. Acceptable Use Policy

You agree not to engage in any of the following prohibited activities:

  • Using automated tools, bots, or scrapers to overload, disrupt, or impair the Service.
  • Attempting to bypass rate limits, security measures, or access controls.
  • Reverse engineering, decompiling, or attempting to derive the source code of the Service.
  • Using the Service for any unlawful or fraudulent purpose.

7. Disclaimer of Warranties

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED ON AN “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE” BASIS WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, ACCURACY, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT GUARANTEE THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, OR THAT ALL YOUTUBE VIDEOS WILL HAVE AVAILABLE CAPTIONS.

8. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, IN NO EVENT SHALL YOUTUBE TRANSCRIPT PRO, ITS DIRECTORS, EMPLOYEES, OR AGENTS BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES ARISING OUT OF OR IN CONNECTION WITH YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY SHALL NOT EXCEED $50 USD OR THE AMOUNT PAID BY YOU (IF ANY) IN THE PRECEDING SIX MONTHS.

9. Termination

You may stop using the Service at any time. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your access to the Service for violation of these Terms or for abusive conduct.

Optional web accounts can be deleted at any time by contacting support@youtubetranscript.pro.

10. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the jurisdiction of the Company's registration, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.

11. Changes to These Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. Changes become effective upon posting the updated Terms on this page. Your continued use of the Service after changes are published constitutes your acceptance of the new Terms.
