We provide video transcript extraction, playlist processing, and metadata tools across our website (youtubetranscript.pro), browser extensions, and mobile applications available on the Apple App Store and Google Play Store (collectively, the “Service”).

2. Mobile Applications & No Account Requirement

In our mobile applications (iOS and Android), no account creation or user registration is required. All features are available freely and without login. You are not required to provide an email address, name, phone number, or password to use the mobile applications.

Account creation is strictly optional on the web platform for users who wish to synchronize their extension history.

3. Information We Collect

3.1 Information You Provide

  • Submitted YouTube URLs: Video, playlist, or channel links you submit to generate transcripts.
  • Optional Account Data (Web only): Email address and display name if you choose to sign up or use Google Sign-In on the website.
  • Support Correspondence: Communications and email messages sent to our support address.

3.2 Information Collected Automatically

  • Technical Identifiers: IP address, operating system, device type, browser version, and request timestamps, used for server security, abuse prevention, and rate limiting.
  • Temporary Session Cookies: Essential tokens to maintain active web sessions.

3.3 Non-Persistent Processing (Transcripts)

Transcripts and video metadata queries are processed ephemerally in temporary server memory. We do not permanently store, archive, or sell your extracted transcripts on our database servers. Once delivered to your device, the processing data is discarded.

We use the collected information solely for the following purposes:

  • To extract and format transcripts requested by users.
  • To protect our infrastructure against automated bot attacks, denial of service, and abusive traffic.
  • To provide customer support and respond to inquiries.
  • To comply with applicable legal obligations and store platform policies.

5. Third-Party Services & Disclaimers

Our Service allows users to fetch publicly available subtitles and captions from publicly accessible YouTube videos. YouTube is a trademark of Google LLC. Our Service is independent and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by YouTube or Google LLC.

Optional web authentication is provided via Firebase Authentication (Google LLC). We do not sell, rent, or trade any personal information to third parties.

6. Account & Data Deletion

In compliance with Apple App Store Guideline 5.1.1(v) and Google Play User Data policies, users who have registered an optional account on the web platform may request complete account and data deletion at any time.

To request deletion of your account and any associated information, send an email to support@youtubetranscript.pro from your registered email address.

All deletion requests are processed within 30 calendar days. Because mobile app users do not create accounts, no personal account profile is created or retained for mobile users.

7. Your Privacy Rights (GDPR & CCPA)

Depending on your location, you have rights regarding your personal data under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA/CPRA), including:

  • The right to access the personal information we hold about you.
